The underlying premise behind the layout of Ocean Drive Marina is Quality over Quantity.
Ocean Drive Marina features 3 docks and an 800 foot boardwalk with a total of 78 fixed slips and 450 feet of face dock, all of which are protected by a massive concrete breakwater.
The main boardwalk is to the right side of the marina and follows the shoreline. The boardwalk is 10 feet wide and over 800 feet long.
Dock "A" is the shortest of the three docks, and is 100 feet long and 50 feet wide. This dock was designed as a sail folding area and community space. There are two slips that can handle 60 foot yachts with up to 25 foot beam. This dock also presently has the floating dinghy docks that can handle up to 6 small boats and will be the location of the new barge with restrooms, showers, offices, and party rooms, with an observation deck on top!!
Dock "B" is the middle dock and is 8 feet wide and nearly 300 feet long. We are considering taking out most of the slips and pilings and making this dock a "face dock" so that we can accommodate larger vessels with sufficient flexibility.
Dock "C" is 8 feet wide and over 350 feet long, and we consider this dock to be the "big boat" dock. We are considering covering the first 6 slips on both sides, as there is a substantial demand for covered slips. There are NO covered slips for yachts in Corpus Christi. We would have the only ones. Select slips on this dock will be made into pavilions to serve two boats, an amenity unheard of in yachting circles.
